I was away from the computer…Wanted to say Congrats to Joe and Cheryl for the big X Factor win!!!!

18 year old Joe McElderry from South Shields is the 2009 winner of X Factor, making his mentor Cheryl Cole, the winning Judge for the 2nd year in a row. Her act, Alexandra Burke, won last years X Factor. Joe won with 61.3% of the vote, beating off competition from Olly Murs who only gained 38.7% of the vote of which of 10 million were cast. Joe will now release his version of The Climb, originally sung by Miley Cyrus in The Hannah Montana Movie earlier this year.
I am so happy that Joe won. However, I hope Simon Cowell does make a commitment to him and doesn’t shelve him after just one song like he did with 2007 winner Leon Jackson.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see

Cheryl sings her two songs Fight For This Love & her new single 3 Words ft. will.i.am on the show. She performs a dance with Derek Hough from Dancing With The Stars to her 3rd single Parachute.

Kimberley Walsh & Nicola Roberts were the only two members of Girls Aloud to turn up and lend their support for fellow band member Sarah Harding at the premiere of her new movie St. Trinians 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold.
Noticeably absent were fellow bandmates Cheryl Cole & Nadine Coyle. Cheryl was busy filming her TV Show “Cheryl Cole’s Night In’ over at the BBC at the time of the premiere, which is set to air this Saturday, December 12th @ 6.30pm on ITV1.Meanwhile, Nadine Coyle is in London, she just didn’t go to the premiere. She is currently working on her studio album set for release in early 2010.
